Can Reiki Help With Addiction?

How can I use Reiki undo a 15+ year addiction that I’ve been struggling with? 

Addictions are challenging to break, and while Reiki is not a magic cure for addiction, it can definitely help.

I personally bring a more grounded approach to addiction and encourage replacing the habit with another healthy habit. This isn't necessarily easy, and depending upon the depth of the addiction, this will have varying levels of difficulty, but when we want to get rid of something in our lives, we need to replace it with something else and put the focus on the replacing rather than on getting rid of the habit. If you have a plan for what you will do when you feel the craving, then you can know what you'll do when the time comes and can act in accordance with your plan.

For instance, if your addiction is to smoking, anytime you feel a craving for a cigarette, if you plan beforehand to do self-Reiki, you can use the craving for a cigarette as a cue for Reiki. By the time you're done with your self-Reiki session, the craving, since they are almost always short-lived (meaning they pass in a few minutes), will most likely be gone or decreased.
