Why Didn't My Reiki Client Come Back?

Until recently I was having weekly Reiki sessions with an acquaintance turned client for two months. She loved the sessions, but all of a sudden she stopped scheduling, and I have no idea why. I sent her gentle follow up text messages to see how she is doing with no reply. I'm confident in my Reiki sessions, they are competitively priced, and my friend is well off, so I don't think it's a money issue. I'd like to follow up again and find out why she hasn't come back. I'm thinking of sending a text asking if she'd like to schedule or to ask if anything is wrong or even to get together for coffee. What do you think? 

First, please know that there are a lot of reasons why someone might not reschedule, return our calls, ask us out on another date, or offer us the job. hahaha

What I mean to say is that this kind of situation is common not only in Reiki business, but also in life. Since this is an acquaintance who hasn't responded to your messages asking how she's doing, is it her typical behavior? Lots of people might get a text that they don't respond to. And since you know her, is this something she might do, anyway?

I personally wouldn't ask why she hasn't booked another session or if there's anything you did wrong. I wouldn't automatically assume it was something you did wrong and this kind of question can make people defensive...and not wanting to respond or engage.

Depending on how long it's been since you last texted and/or she last scheduled, I would wait a bit and then send her a message (perhaps not text, since she may not respond to texts)...if this was a client and not an acquaintance. But since this is a person you might know well enough to get coffee with, I personally would let it go. To continue to message them and ask if they'd like a session can damage the relationship and then you've not only lost a client, you've also lost a coffee date.
