Christian | Standing Stones Healing Co. I don't know about you, but I adore trees, and I believe they have so much to teach us, including the important lesson of letting go. Here where I am in central Pennsylvania in the eastern US, leaves are beginning to drop from trees. Except that's not exactly right. Because leaves don't just fall... Trees shove them off!
As the weather turns and winter approaches, the leaves no longer serve the tree. Holding onto them is no longer in its best interest. The tree recognizes this and actively pushes them away. What are you ready to let go of? What are you ready to actively push away? Letting go is hard and, just like the tree sheds its leaves one by one, it's a process. Sometimes we are challenged to let go of what no longer serves us...or even to recognize when something no longer does. But the trees are here to support us in this work, gently reminding us to take heart and shed our spent pieces to the wind. Along with the trees, now is a time to ask ourselves... What no longer serves me? What leaves do I need to release? One thing that has been invaluable to me in my letting go experiences is Reiki. Reiki is a powerful way to help us release judgment, open to acceptance, and have courage to live in alignment. It's obvious that trees are Reiki practitioners. So this fall, I'm taking inspiration from the trees for my Reiki practice, for the letting go that they do so naturally. This, to me, is one of the greatest gifts and lessons of Reiki. And this, to me, shows that trees are some of the best Reiki practitioners. Sending blessings to Reiki lessons from the trees! Comments are closed.
