But this challenge is something we need to move past in order to move our Reiki business forward. Because when we struggle to talk about Reiki, it becomes difficult to sell our services effectively. Whether we offer Reiki sessions or Reiki-infused products, our ability to communicate the benefits and value of Reiki is key to our business's success, so it's essential for our Reiki business to thrive. Here are some ways to overcome the challenge and do this #1 most important thing for your Reiki business: 1. Practice with family and friends. Start by discussing Reiki with people you are comfortable with and who already support and care about you. You know that friend who always cheers you on? Practice talking about Reiki with them! These conversations will help you build confidence and feel more comfortable talking about Reiki in general to then be more confident talking about it with strangers and potential clients. 2. Know what you're going to say. Preparation goes a long way toward helping us stretch out of our comfort zone and talk about Reiki. I recommend creating a short blurb about Reiki, one that is only a few seconds long and summarizes it. This is the kind of short explanation that you can offer to anyone at anytime when someone asks what you do or it comes up in conversation or you find an opportunity to mention it. You can even memorize this brief explanation to have it ready. Knowing exactly what you're going to say goes a long way toward helping you feel prepared and confident when the topic comes up. I also recommend having a more detailed explanation with more information about Reiki, your Reiki journey, and Reiki's benefits for longer conversations or people who are interested in hearing more. 3. Join the Reiki Business Collective! Join this Facebook group full of Reiki business owners and Reiki practitioners considering starting a Reiki business to get support and encouragement.
