Reiki is Powerful, But Not in the Way We Might Think

When I started my Reiki training 8+ years ago, I had no idea how life-changing it would be. Reiki has had and continues to have a powerful impact on my life.

We often think of Reiki as a tool for helping others to heal, but the real power of Reiki is how it works with and through each of us personally, including in small, subtle ways.
This is how it's been for me. I had no big shifts from my attunements, no noticeable effects, nothing that signaled anything was different in my life.

Change happens in glaciers.

We also often think that change happens in avalanches, that we can see and feel the tumbling rocks in one big shift, including from Reiki attunements. But change doesn't just happen in avalanches. It happens in glaciers, too. And Reiki has been my glacier...slowly and powerfully carving the landscape of my life bit by bit. The result? Deeper ravines of compassion and understanding. Higher mountains of acceptance. This personal growth and healing is way more powerful than any healing we might facilitate for another.
