Is Reiki Working?

Have you recently taken a Reiki 1 or 2 class?

Maybe you're doing the self-Reiki thing and wondering...
Is it working?
Am I doing it right?
I can't feel anything...what's wrong?

These are very common questions. If this is you, please know that it's common to not feel anything and that it's also ok. Many practitioners don't feel anything at first, some never feel anything, and some feel things from time to time, but not always. All are ok.

Either way, Reiki is working, so definitely keep doing your self-healing practice. If you can get into the habit of it now and stick with it, it will stick with you.

Here is some encouragement for you:

1. Not feeling anything is normal!
2. You aren't messing it up!
3. You can't mess it up!
4. Yes, it's working!

One of the things that sometimes contributes to new practitioner anxiety is worrying about doing a full session. It can feel daunting and can even make us feel anxious trying to fit a whole session into our busy day. This feeling of overwhelm can contribute to concern about whether or not we're doing it right or if it's working.

So don't be afraid to scale it down a bit and do a quick session or even a few minutes or one minute. Even one minute makes a big difference in that minute.

There are plenty of other recommendations and suggestions that can help, but I encourage starting there. As you get more comfortable, you can always increase the sessions.
