Christian Stone | Standing Stones Healing Co. Is distance Reiki still in demand? I’ve been wanting to start my Reiki business for awhile now, but I don’t have a studio space or an extra room in my apartment to offer sessions to clients. I was hoping to be able to offer it to clients virtually, but does anyone want it. Is it still in demand? Yes, distance Reiki is still a thing. It's not going anywhere and will only grow in popularity.
As a distance practitioner, I can say it has a lot of benefits for clients, like being able to have a session with a practitioner anywhere in the world. That means no more having to find someone in your area that you like...if you can even find anyone at all. Many people who want to receive Reiki don't live near a Reiki practitioner. It also means they don't have to leave the house, worry about travel, office accessibility, or parking. It's ultra convenient for both the client and practitioner. But a distance practice is not as simple to build as some might think. For as convenient as distance Reiki is for both the client and practitioner, it can be challenging to build a distance business. I once heard one practitioner say that distance Reiki is "ruined" because there are too many distance practitioners. That's not true, just like having too many restaurants hasn't "ruined" food. But what is true is that it simply that it takes dedication, like with any kind of business. We might want to blame other practitioners for taking all of the distance clients, but often the problem is that new distance practitioners are challenged to get established. Building a distance Reiki business is different from building an in-person Reiki business, and how to do it can be challenging, confusing, and even overwhelming. It's why I created the Distance Reiki Business Builder with all of the info to build a distance Reiki business so you know exactly what to do and how to do it to start serving the world in the comfort of your own home...while wearing sweatpants!
