Did My Reiki Attunement Work?

I had my distance attunement last night but I wasn’t able to sit in a quiet space and meditate during it. I definitely felt things happening with my body/mind during the time frame and after I felt light and floaty. Does me not having the ability during that time to meditate mess with the attunement? I did try to make myself as open minded and accepting of any energy coming my way during the timeframe.

Thank you for this question, and yes, you are still attuned despite not sitting quietly during the attunement. And no, it didn't "mess" with the attunement. 


However, sitting in a quiet place and meditating brings a level of intention and increased openness to the experience. It also shows a level of commitment to your own growth, healing, and Reiki journey. Life happens, and we can't always make it stop, but it may be helpful to ask yourself what was stopping you from taking that time out for yourself. Please know that this question has no judgment, and Reiki is not judging you. I just want to encourage you to reflect on your Reiki journey and what it means to you at this point. Again, without judgment...each Reiki journey is individual and unique and ever evolving. 


So yes, you are attuned, no, you didn't mess anything up, and congratulations on your attunement!
