Reiki Website Help

I’m looking for some assistance with my website. I’ve created a great deal of content but I need some fine tuning help with the platform. Every option I’ve explored, including businesses and freelancers, is so costly. Do you recommend using a website building service or person?

Website challenges are common, and many Reiki practitioners wonder if they should get help with their website. It's why there are a lot of videos on websites in the Build Your Reiki Business program, including how to set one up and what to include on it.

But I do encourage that if you don't set up your website yourself, please at least know how to edit it. Our websites are not static like billboards, but are rather ever evolving and changing...or at least good websites are. So if you use someone to build your site, I highly recommend knowing how to change it...and if you're going to learn how to change it, then typically you'd know enough for how to create it.

I'm not saying don't use a company or freelancer to help you build your website, but I do recommend knowing exactly how to edit it or else you (and your pocketbook) will always be at their mercy to make changes. And since a good website changes and is updated, often frequently, you can run into a lot of challenges with waiting for the updates and the expense of making them happen.

As far as low cost website options, the last time I checked, Weebly was the lowest cost web builder. It's designs are a little dated and it doesn't have the same flexibility as other builders, but its pricing structure is clear. Other builders, like Wix, are not clear on their pricing at all and you find out how much it's going to cost after you build it. And it's important to note that Wordpress is completely free. Wordpress the builder, not Wordpress the host (wordpress.org, not wordpress.com). If you're looking to save money, I also recommend purchasing the domain yourself rather than through a web builder like Wix or Weebly and then "pointing" your domain to that web host/builder. Any web host/builder can walk you through that process.
