Do This Before Printing Reiki Business Cards...

I want to make some business cards and leave them at the yoga places or health food store. What do you think of these names… Reiki Blessings, Chakra Heart, Reiki Heart, or Reiki by Sarah?

Thanks for this question, and that's an awesome idea! But before you make your cards, I recommend checking business names in your state to make sure the name you choose isn't already registered. You can do this by going to your state's Department of the Secretary or Commerce or wherever business registrations are housed and then searching the online database for any name you're considering.

​If the name you want is already registered in your state, you aren't allowed to use it. I also recommend checking the laws of your state to see if you're able to conduct business under a name not your own and what those rules are. Have you read my DBA?, LLC?, OMG! article yet? It explains these considerations, and I just want to make sure you're covered. It would be awful to print up your business cards and then not be able to use them. And...I like Chakra Heart!
